FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need an appointment?
We do not take appointments, and operate on a first-come-first-serve basis. When you arrive, you will receive paperwork and a number. We will call you up when it's your turn!

How long is the wait?
It all depends on what services our other clients are receiving. You can generally expect to wait about an hour, usually less, rarely more. However we are inside and have seating, so you don't have to stand around in the Texas weather.

My pet stresses out easily! What do I do?
You are more than welcome to leave your pet in your vehicle when you come inside to get your paperwork, and wait outside with your pet. We will come outside to let you know when it's your turn.

If you have a cat in a carrier, we have a separate, quiet area for them to wait in.

If you have a dog who will cause a scene, we won't judge. Promise! Just let us know, and we will be happy to serve you outside if we are able.

If I only need medications, do I have to wait in line?
No. If you only need to purchase heartworm or flea prevention, please let us know. You do not have to bring your pet, and you do not have to wait in line.

HOWEVER, we cannot dispense heartworm prevention (or Comfortis brand flea prevention) without having seen you pet before. We also require a negative heartworm test every year for Sentinel and at lease every two years for Iverhart.

I have no idea what shots my pet needs. Can you tell me?
Yes! If you have previous medical records, you are welcome to bring them in and we can review them. If you have no previous medical history on your pet, that's no problem either. We will discuss your pet's specific needs with you. You are also welcome to email us with any questions.
